Open letter to all researchers

Dear researcher,

Are all your publications and research data openly and freely accessible online? If not, by publishing them you can increase your citation rate [1]. Currently, there is a movement to make all research papers and even data freely available online [2,3]. It’s a simple concept of “the more papers and data we share, the more we have”. However, current research communities are relatively closed – papers are locked behind a paid access door, data are not published etc.

We are running an Open Knowledge project called iamResearcher.com. By using the website, you can share your research, scientific paper, conferences, presentation as well as experiment data.

Please help us to start an Open Knowledge community by visiting

http://www.IamResearcher.com:

•    Be the first one to post a research question or share your opinion

•    Share research papers and presentations

•    Publish your research data and experiments so that others can cite your work better

Benefits:

•    Showcase your work to communities and be discovered by new opportunities

•    Others can reuse and cite your data for research by providing you with certain benefits (e.g. to co-author a paper).

•    The more people follow the open research trends, the more benefits each one of us can get from the whole community.

Your data can be hosted on iamResearcher or anywhere online.

We need your help to start a new chapter of Open Science. Make a change now!

Introducing iamResearcher

The goal of any researcher is to maximize exposure to their research. The question is: how?

Aside from exposing your research through published papers, your presentation slides, your attendance at conferences as well as the your datasets could all be used to further expose your research portfolio.

However, the main problem is that there is not a single portal that allows you to manage them all.

Fear not, this is exactly what iamResearcher offers.

iamResearcher is an all-in-one research management tool that allows you to manage all your research materials in one single portal, giving you a peace of mind so that you can better spend your time on what you do best: research!

The good thing is there’s more.

iamResearcher is also a social network for the global research community and across all disciplines. It is a network that is designed to promote networking amongst researchers and to foster new research collaborations. In order to do this, iamResearcher offers researchers the ability to not just create a comprehensive research profile but also to share and discuss matters related to their interests. By engaging in conversations with other researchers, iamResearcher allows researchers from all over the world to meet and connect with those who are outside of their immediate social circle but sharing similar research interests.

Lastly, if you’re organizing events such as conferences or workshops, iamResearcher offers you a complete solution to:

1) all-in-one hosting for conference homepage
2) hosting publications
3) allow attendees to interact with one another
4) allow real-time discussions

The ultimate goal for iamResearcher is to revolutionize collaborative research and to inspire the creation of a global knowledge network that spans across time, domain and space.
